A few of us Wingstuff Groupies gathered for a ride from the Wingstuff parking lot Saturday morning,

Participants were:
Rod H
Gary L
Dan B
Paul S
Tim S
Roger T
Ray S
Rocky D and SO
(Rocky I'm suffering CRS, what is her name again, Don't know how you got together with such a nice one!)

Rocky's "New 2011" Goldwing was there...

Glad I didn't bother polishing up "Tru Blu" with Rockies freshly painted Wing sitting there, nobody would have noticed anyway...

Amazingly most of us where at WingStuff by 9:00am, did a little tire kicking then headed out.

Almost got a picture of everyone without really trying...

Rod spent a lot of time in his car the past couple of weeks, (I didn't even know Rod owned a car...), mapping out this route while it was raining so profusely here in Sunny Southern California.

He came up with a sweetheart of a "Local" ride! Not many freeway miles, lots of nice twisty roads, excellent scenery and ended at a City (Temecula) where there are plenty of eating choices after a good morning ride!

About 200 miles for the ride itself I think, I had nearly 300 miles on my odometer by the time I got home. (I almost used all the gas in both tanks, though the low fuel light has not come on yet).

Weather was cool, 52-67 degrees the whole day with threating rain clouds in the morning that turned into just a cool sunny ride that could not have been better.

I had been stuck in my house for nearly two weeks (First week putting in over 100 hours and only 10 hours of sleep in for my job, the 2nd week suffering from the effects of a Cold & Flu and still working from home) and I was really ready for a good ride, and that is what I got!

Thanks Rod!

I forgot to strap my camera on before the ride started, so no "In Flight" pictures on this outing. Crying or Very sad

This map is created by using the transmissions from my bike mounted HAM radio using APRS for tracking.

My position is transmitted every 2 minutes (red dots on the map) and relayed to a HAM radio connected to the internet that is also running APRS. There are some gaps in transmissions where there were no receiving HAM/APRS base radios to receive my signal (Can be seen as some pretty straight lines on the map), but all in all a pretty good representation of the ride.

I feel so much better today, other than feeling like I was doing isometric exercises all day yesterday. I feel much more relaxed, Nothing like a little "Motorcycle Therapy"! It does a body good... Wink
